Keeping your books clearly and efficiently is a very important part of running your business. It enables you to keep a track of your income, expenditure and profits (or losses!) at any time. You can easily see what areas may need attention with regards to saving your company money. It is now more important than ever, with random record keeping inspections being carried out by HMRC, leading to possible fines if your records are not considered to be kept adequately, as per HMRC's requirements.

MAKING TAX DIGITAL
By 2019, HMRC want all individuals and VAT registered businesses to be reporting their records quarterly via digital software. This will be a huge change for many, but it need not be a scary one. We are here to talk through the process with you and discuss how to move you forward ensuring compliance to the upcoming mandatory changes.
Although records will be uploaded to HMRC regularly throughout the year, rest assured this is not a tax return times 4! It is essentially real time reporting in much the same way as employers now report their payroll. A full set of accounts will only be required once a year, as before.
