MAKING TAX DIGITAL

All VAT registered businesses are required to report their VAT returns using MTD compliant software.

From April 2026, individuals with a turnover above £50,000 through sole trader and/or rental income will also be required to report under Making Tax Digital. This will involve sending a quarterly report of your income and expenditure to HMRC via MTD compatible software, with a final report at the end of the tax year with any adjustments. There will then be the usual annual self assessment Tax Return to complete. We will be here to guide and support you throughout this process.
